After numerous complaints from citizens and concerned parents, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has decided to conduct a Signal Warrant Analysis at the intersection of Post Oak and U.S. 84 West in Fairfield.

There have been accidents at the intersection over the years because of the current flashing caution light combined with a speed limit of 55 MPH. The study will be performed by the TxDOT Traffic Office during February.

“February is a date selected to ensure that school is in session outside of holidays and resources are available to conduct the study,” said Bobby Colwell, TxDOT public information officer.
