Calvary children's choir performs

It was a night of great singing and performances Sunday as Calvary Baptist Church's children's choir presented the musical “The Colors of Christmas.” The talented young singers and actors explained the meaning of the red, white, blue, green, and brown colors associated with Christmas. The group performed in front of a large crowd of Calvary's congregation, families and many friends from the community with everyone receiving a tremendous blessing. The choir was directed by Calvary's Education and Music minister Shelby Race and LaDonna Mullen.

We would be out of order if we didn’t mention the library has been having a logo contest, which ends Tuesday, Dec. 4, for a Fairfield Library logo. Previously announced on the library’s Facebook page, a $50 Amazon card will be given to the creator of the design judged most appropriate by the library. That logo will be used on library information, including letterheads, business cards, and more. Just like everywhere else in town, the library staff is planning lots of activities to celebrate the Christmas season. Beginning on Monday, Dec. 3, the staff and any interested volunteers will decorate campsite number 52 at the Fairfield Lake State Park in conjunction with their Christmas in the Park event. Visitors to the park are invited to enjoy all the Christmas lights from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8.
