Capital murder trial reset

Lawson Abram

The capital murder trial of a Teague man has been reset due to a key witness having a baby. Lawson Lee Abram's trial was slated to begin Aug. 29, but has been rescheduled until Monday, Oct. 3, says 77th District Judge Patrick Simmons.

The witness, Erin Mason, delivered her baby via C-section and was unable to attend the hearing. Mason, a Texas Department of Public Safety crime lab scientist, performed the forensic tests on cell phones that were taken as evidence.
